How to: Apply a foil manicure

Filed under: foil nails, foil manicures, foil, howto, How To, tutorial / Tags: foil manicures, foil nails, foil, howto, how to, Tutorial

Some things to take note of:
1. Do not use a fast drying topcoat as it will wrinkle up the foil. Use a normal one, I'm using one from FaceShop.
2. You can remove them like you would remove your nail polish, they come off really easily.
3. Wait for the glue to really dry, if not the foil will not stick to the glue.
4. If there are any bald spots and you really can't cover them up, apply a little glue to that area, wait for it to try, then stick the foil over that area again.

hey, I didn't know it's so easy and fun to do foil manicure! looks pretty!

anyway, I saw in ur other post where you said the foils didn't last long for even just one day.. maybe you can try to swipe ur top coat in a downward and then, horizontal motion across the tip of ur nails to kind of 'seal' the foil? I do this method during my usual nail polish routines and I find that my polishes chip lesser at the tips.

I hope this works for foils too!

Jane, please update your blog!

Glad you found it interesting eclecticsatire! :) I was pretty amazed when I first saw a foil mani

Elise Nurasyidah, it's really super easy, it can be done in a jiffy! I think the topcoat works to prolong the foil so that it doesn't fade, but the parts that come off I'm thinking it's probably due to the glue as it's the only thing that is keeping it there. But I will try wrapping my tips like what you suggested the next time round!
